Rick Konrad, founded Value Architects Asset Management in 2001. Prior to this, he was the Managing Director of Research for Ryan Beck & Co. He has extensive experience in investment management, having been a partner in Lincluden Management, a Canadian private asset manager with over $7 billion under management, as well as Sceptre Investment Counsel in Toronto where he was responsible for a $2 billion US mandate
He is a graduate of University of Western Ontario in Canada, and received his MSF from Northeastern University. He received his CFA charter in 1988, his CFP® designation in 2004, and has completed the Harvard Business School Executive Program on behavioral investing.
Rick has been a member of the University of Western Ontario’s investment committee since 2008. He also has served on the Shareholder Advisory Council to Sallie Mae, the nation’s leading provider of student loans where he was involved in initiating changes in financial reporting and securitization as well as a change in senior management of the company.
Ms. Fillet is a co-founder of Value Architects, and established Blueprint Financial Planning with Rick Konrad to focus on the financial planning needs of clients. Vicki began her investment career with The First Boston Corporation and later joined Furman Selz becoming a Managing Director. After her Wall Street experience, she became a consultant for Republic Bank where she worked on the development and feasibility of several investment products. While living in Canada she led the volunteer fundraising activities for the community hospital. Returning to New Jersey, she consulted with Ryan Beck & Co. on product development, before co-founding Value Architects.
She is a graduate of Fordham University with a BA in Economics and Business. She received her Certificate in Financial Planning from New York University, and her CFP® designation in 2006.
Vicki is a member of the Board of Directors for the Financial Planning Association of New York where she is the Director of Communications and Marketing, and an active member of the Public Awareness Committee. She is also a member of the Financial Women’s Association where she is on the Advisory Council for its Financial Backpack program, providing financial literacy education to high school students.
Mark has spent 12 years as a sell-side analyst covering primarily technology, media, telecom, and Internet stocks. Mark began his Wall Street career in 2000, working at Ryan Beck, Citi Group, Maxim Group, and JMP Securities, covering companies such as Akamai, Amazon, Apple, Comcast, Facebook, Sony, Netflix, and Pandora. As a result of his prior coverage, Mark’s investment universe included Information Systems and Consumer Discretionary companies, which combined represents about 30% of the S&P.
Over the past 12 years, Mark has presented at numerous investment conferences, and has provided presentations about the direction of technology and media to 2 large Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) studios, as well as a large South Korean consumer electronics manufacturer. Mark has also been on CNBC, Bloomberg, and Fox Business News. Mark has a BBA and MBA in Finance from the University of Miami, and is a CFA charterholder.
